dated May 15, 1956: State Trading Corporation

The State Trading Corporation is expected to be registered next week, the Lok Sabha was informed on May 14. The Corporation would have a share capital of Rs.1 crore divided into 100,000 shares. Answering supplementaries, Mr. T.T. Krishnamachari, Minister for Commerce and Industry, said an agreement had already been entered into between foreign countries and the Commerce and Industry Ministry with the rider that when the Corporation was incorporated it would take over the responsibility of implementing the agreements.
