Dry weather likely in coastal T.N.

CHENNAI: Isolated rainfall occurred over interior Tamil Nadu. Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Mainly dry weather prevailed over south interior Karnataka and Kerala and dry weather prevailed over coastal Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, Lakshadweep, coastal and north interior Karnataka. The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimeters are: Kalingapatnam 5, Rasipuram (Namakkal dt.) and Vishakhapatnam 4 each, Attur (Salem dt.) and Tuni 3 each, Vellore and Sattur (Virudhunagar dt.) 2 each and Nilakottai (Dindigul dt.), Mangalapuram and Paramathi Velur (both Namakkal dt.) and Vishakhapatnam Airport 1 each. On Saturday the maximum temperature rose at one or two places over north coastal Tamil Nadu, fell at one or two places over north Tamil Nadu, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed little elsewhere over the region. They were markedly to appreciably above normal at one or two places over north coastal Tamil Nadu, appreciably above normal at one or two places over Telangana, Rayalaseema, Kerala above normal at many places over rest Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over rest Telangana, rest Rayalaseema, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka, rest Kerala, appreciably below normal at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Forecast (valid until Tuesday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over interior Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh, south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over coastal Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Rayalaseema, Telangana, coastal and north interior Karnataka.
