Armaan's car damaged

Oulton Park (U.K.): Armaan Ebrahim had to sit out of the race after damaging his car in the fourth qualifying round of the Formula Renault UK Championship.

Ebrahim's Renault spun off after hitting the wet section of the track and was badly damaged when it was collected by an out of control competitor.

``Testing went well, but I only managed one clear lap in the first qualifying session, and in the second I got hit heavily,'' Ebrahim said.

``The yellow flags were out, so I backed off, but I hit a wet section of the track, which made me spinThat wasn't too bad, and did very little damage to the car, but then Jamrozinski came off and hit me extremely hard. It's done a huge amount of damage to the car and forced me to sit out the first race,'' he said. — PTI
