HYDERABAD: Anirban Lahiri, the City golfer now settled in Bangalore, became the first Hyderabadi to make it to the National amateur team for the World Cup to be played in Cape Town later this year, according to a press release. The 19-year-old Anirban, who ended a four-year title-drought last year winning the Royal Challenge championship in Chandigarh, was also a member of the Indian junior team, which won the Asian World junior team championship. He was a member of the Indian team that participated in the World Cup for juniors in Tokyo last year.
