Varanasi: In view of fresh intelligence inputs of terrorist outfits planning to target the complex, the Uttar Pradesh Government has reinforced security in and around the sensitive Kashi Vishwanath temple/Gyanvapi mosque here, official sources said on Sunday. The State Government has sanctioned an additional company of the Provincial Armed Constabulary and 619 more policemen to man the religious complex as well as the areas surrounding it, the sources said. Some nearby localities had been brought under the ambit of yellow zone from the earlier green zone as part of intensified security measures, they said. Frisking of pilgrims has been further tightened with immediate effect and strict instructions given to security men not to allow anyone to carry anything inside the complex. PTI
