CPI annual meet

Corporator of the 6th division I. Appala Naidu on Sunday underlined the need for inculcating discipline among workers of the Communist Party of India (CPI).

Mr. Naidu was the chief guest at the annual conference of the party's 44, 45 and 47 divisions. He said that the party would continue its agitations against the Government to protect the interests of the common man.

Party's floor leader in the Municipal Corporation P. Gowtham Reddy demanded that the corporation develop a road in place of railway track that was removed from Satyanarayanapuram area.

The conference passed a resolution demanding supply of drinking water by the corporation to residential areas. City secretary of the All-India Students Federation G.V. Raju and others were present.

Christian conference valedictory

Chairman of the Bible Society of India P.N.S. Chandrabose on Sunday advised people to accord equal treatment to all human beings, irrespective of their religion.

He was the chief guest at the valedictory session of Andhra Pradesh Christian Conference at Ramalingeswara Nagar here. He stressed the need for installing peace in society.

Bishop of Orissa Diocese G.K. Mahanthi, M. Anil Kumar, secretary of the Bible Society of India B.K. Pramanik and others were present.
