HYDERABAD: The International Russian Centre in association with Study Abroad will organise an exhibition on higher studies in Russia at Hotel Fortune Katriya on Monday. Medical and technological universities from Russia will participate in the exhibition which will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. C. Ravi Chandran, managing director, Study Abroad, on Sunday said medical education in Russia was not only qualitative but also inexpensive. Most of the Russian colleges were recognised by the Medical Council of India and doctors emerging from there were successfully practising in India. The English medium course is of six-year duration while the Russian medium course is of seven years, including a 10-months preparatory course in Russian language. Mr. Chandran said the fee structure would depend on each university starting from Rs 1.10 lakhs year, including tuition fee, hostel and insurance. There were more than 45 medical colleges. He said Russia was also turning out to be the destination for technical courses.
