HYDERABAD: Rash driving by an unidentified motorcyclist claimed the life of a sixth standard student in front of a function hall at Ramanthapur on Saturday. The police said R. Naveen, 13, a resident of Sai Chitranagar in Ramanthapur, was crossing the road when the motorist came in a rash and negligent manner and hit the boy resulting in grievous injuries. Passers-by shifted the boy to Osmania General Hospital where he died later in the night. Naveen, son of autorickshaw driver Komaraiah, was a student of Government High School in Uppal, the police said.
Ryot dies in accident
A farmer died after the scooter he was riding was knocked down by a van at Narsingi on Saturday. According to the police, R. Prakash, 20, a resident of Kokapet in Rangareddy district, was returning home when the accident occurred. A pedestrian, who suffered serious injuries after he was hit by a vehicle at Somajiguda on May 7, died while undergoing treatment in hospital on Saturday. The police said Mohammed Waseem, 17, of Farooqnagar in Vattepally was crossing the road when the vehicle knocked him down, the police said.
