Isolated rain likely in T.N.

CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at a few places over Lakshadweep. Isolated rainfall occurred over interior Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Dry weather prevailed over coastal Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.

Kodaikanal recorded a heavy rainfall of 7 centimetres.

On Sunday, the maximum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over coastal Karnataka, fell at one or two places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, rose at one or two places over rest coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and changed little elsewhere over the region. Medak recorded the highest temperature of 45 degree celsius in the region.

Forecast (valid until Wednesday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala, south interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Andhra Pradesh, coastal and north interior Karnataka.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No significant change.
