Bhargava heads 3i's new focus on outsourcing

CHENNAI: 3i, Europe's leading venture capital and private equity company, has appointed Akshaya Bhargava to head its new focus on the global business process outsourcing (BPO) market. Mr. Akshaya is an ex-banker, having spent 22 years with Citibank in a variety of senior positions in India, the Czech Republic and the U.K. Until recently he was the CEO of Progeon, the BPO subsidiary of Infosys.
