ADAG to roll out new logo

Indrani Dutta

KOLKATA: The Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) is all set to roll out its new logo incorporating a distinct identity for the group companies.

Aiming to address a customer base of over 30 million, spanning the country and spread across all the group companies, including Reliance Communication, Reliance Capital and Reliance Energy, the brand building exercise is being billed as one of the largest-ever.

No concrete figures were available for the exact spend that was being budgetted for the logo and the identity that had already been developed by an overseas company, but indications were that it would be about Rs. 500 crore. The logo — a double arrow-head — is supposed to reflect the group credo of growth and a fast-forward into the future, but it also looks like two capital As, which incidentally are Ambani junior's initials.

It was learnt that no separate media campaign was being planned for establishing the corporate identity, but it would be dovetailed into the ad spends and the marketing plans of the group companies.
