Belgaum: The Junior Doctors and students of J.N. Medical College and KLE's Dental College held a demonstration here on Monday, demanding abolition of caste-based reservations in higher education institutions as proposed by the Centre. They formed a human chain at Rani Channamma Circle. and condemned "police excesses" on the junior doctors and students of medical colleges staging protests in Mumbai and New Delhi. Later, they submitted a memorandum to the district surgeon at the Government hospital.
