Anbalagan, AIADMK's leader in Assembly

Pondicherry: The general secretary of the AIADMK, J. Jayalalithaa informed the Secretary to the Pondicherry Legislative Assembly by a letter that A. Anbalagan and Om Sakthi Segar have been elected as the leader and deputy leader respectively of the Legislature wing of the party in the Pondicherry Assembly. V. Omalingam was elected the party whip, she said.

Mr. Anbalagan said here on Monday that he had submitted a copy of this letter to the Lt Governor while staking claim to be the Opposition leader.
