Move to tackle menace of stray cattle

Zonal control rooms to attend to people's complaints

NEW DELHI: To tackle the menace of stray cattle in the Capital, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi on Monday decided to deploy seven dedicated teams in the 12 civic zones besides setting up zonal control rooms to attend to people's complaints. The control rooms and the teams will work round the clock.Equipped with sufficient manpower and machinery, the Karol Bagh zonal control room will cover three zones -- City, Sadar Paharganj and Karol Bagh. Its telephone number is 25812700. Similarly, the Central zone control room (phone No. 29812700) will look after stray cattle-related complaints of the Central and South zones, while the Najafgarh and West zones will have control room at Najafgarh with phone No. 27708993. The control room at Rohini will cover the Rohini and Narela zones (phone No. 27042700), while separate control rooms have been set up for Shahdara-South (phone No. 22303700), Shahdara-North (phone No. 22822700) and Civil Lines (phone No. 23942700).
