Sub-junior girls' hockey from today
BANGALORE: The usual chaos prior to a big sporting event was evident on the day before the 18th sub-junior girls' National hockey tournament.
The Karnataka State Women's Hockey Association already had its hands full because of the decision to change the venue from Hassan to Bangalore. To add to the confusion was the last minute pullout of some teams and the eleventh hour inclusion of others.
However, the association has coped well with the changes and the revised fixture list has been announced. The event will be inaugurated by Dayanand Pai on May 17 at 3 pm. Olympian B.K. Subramani and KSHA secretary K. Krishnamurthy will be the chief guests. — Special Correspondent
