West Indies retains squad

Kingston (Jamaica): West Indies retained its match-winning combination that played in the last two games against Zimbabwe for the first two cricket one-dayers against India beginning here on Thursday.

West Indies skipper Brian Lara said: ``We have this situation where we tried different players. What we were really looking to do was to come up with the best possible 14 for this particular series.''

The team: Brian Lara, Christopher Gayle, Runako Morton, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Marlon Samuels, Dwayne Smith, Carlton Baugh Jr., Corey Collymore, Fidel Edwards, Jerome Taylor, Ian Bradshaw, Dwayne Bravo and Dave Mohammed. — PTI
