Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reposed full faith in Inzamam-ul-Haq to lead the national side in next year's World Cup in spite of suggestions by former players for a younger and fitter leader in place of the ageing warhorse. The PCB director of Board Operations Abbas Zaidi said they had full faith in Inzy and there were no plans to appoint a new captain. ``Inzamam remains our first choice captain for the World Cup, there shouldn't be any doubt about that,'' Zaidi told The News. ``The captain is a great cricketer and is leading the team by example.'' Zaidi said Inzamam was the prime reason behind the existing harmony in the dressing room. ``Each and every national team player supports Inzamam as the captain. All of them respect him and look towards him for inspiration. This is the reason why there is complete harmony within the team,'' he said. UNI
