NELLORE: The Andhra Pradesh Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Trade (APFCCT) has asked the Government to set up an additional appellate tribunal bench in Vijayawada to settle tax disputes arising in Krishna, Guntur, Prakasham and Nellore besides East and West Godavari districts. The Government set up an additional appellate tribunal in Visakhapatnam in the last week of April to settle tax disputes arising in nine coastal districts despite negation from traders of south coastal districts. "Since its location is not central, traders from these districts have been facing a lot of problems to go to Visakhapatnam," APFCCT vice-president Akula Venkateswarlu told reporters on Tuesday. Nearly 82 per cent of total tax payments are being generated from these districts. Besides, disputes pertaining to tax have also been arising in the six districts.
