UPSC re-exam on June 18

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has decided to cancel the examination held on May 14 for the optional subject of Public Administration (Subject Code 22) in the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2006. The re-examination will be held on June 18.

On the day of the examination, it was brought to the notice of the Commission that there was a discrepancy in the tallying of the number of question papers at one of the examination centres.

Immediate enquiries were held but the discrepancy in the tallying could not be reconciled. A detailed inquiry is being conducted.
