Warning against epidemic outbreak

ALAPPUZHA: District Medical Officer N.K. Velayudhan has warned the people of Ambalappuzha, Cherthala, Kuttanad and Karthikappally taluks in the district about the possibility of outbreak of epidemics. In an official release on Tuesday, Mr. Velayudhan said viral fever, diarrhoea and jaundice had been reported from various parts of these taluks. Public should keep their houses clean, Mr. Velayudhan said. — Staff Reporter

Killed in accident

Thrissur: Saneesh, 22, of Kozhukkulli House at Pookkode was killed when the motorbike he was riding and a lorry collided at Pudukkad on Tuesday. — Staff Reporter
