Five more held in Tindivanam murder case

TINDIVANAM: The police have arrested five persons allegedly involved in a murder that was committed near the house of former Education Minister C.Ve.Shanmugham on May 8. This has taken the number of those held in the case to seven.

Those arrested on Monday were, Nandakumar (26) of Tindivanam; Sudhakar (24) of Nallavur; Prabhakaran (24); another Sudhakar (24), and Ramesh of Peravur. They were produced before Judicial Magistrate Court-I here on Tuesday and remanded to 15 days' judicial custody.

Two persons, Siva and Kumaran of Nallavur, were secured soon after the incident in which Murganandan (40) was done to death. In a police complaint, Mr. Shanmugham had named PMK founder S. Ramadoss and Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss.
