Ph.D, M.Phil holders exempted from NET

New Delhi: Lecturership aspirants with Ph.D or M.Phil degrees are now exempt from the National Eligibility Test qualifications, the University Grants Commission announced on Tuesday evening.

Top UGC officials led by Chairman Sukhadeo Thorat declined to explain the need for such a move at a news conference, but cited interim findings of an expert panel. — UNI
