Four Ministers dropped from Orissa Cabinet

All Ministers have submitted their resignation papers

BHUBANESWAR:
Orissa Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal president Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday night dropped four of his Ministers, all from his party, and named six of his party legislators to become new Ministers. The new Ministers would be sworn in on Wednesday.
Those who were dropped from the Ministry of the BJD-BJP alliance Government are Panchayati Raj and Culture Minister Damodar Rout, Health and Family Welfare Minister Bijayshree Routray, School and Mass Education Minister Nagendra Pradhan and Tribal Welfare Minister Balabhadra Majhi. All have submitted their resignation papers.
The six who would be sworn in as new Ministers are Chaitanya Prasad Majhi; Bishu Charan Das, Raghunath Mohanty, Debi Prasad Mishra, Sanjeev Sahu and Duryodhan Majhi. While four of them would be filling up the vacancies created after Tuesday's resignations, two would be take up the posts recently vacated by the former Excise Minister, Kalindi Charan Behera and the former Water Resources Minister, Rabinarayan Nanda.
