CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government has decided to raise the dearness relief for its pensioners and family pensioners from 21 per cent to 24 per cent with effect from January 1, 2006, Finance Minister Birender Singh announced here on Tuesday. He said that the dearness relief would be given on the pattern of the Central Government. By giving three per cent additional dearness relief, the State exchequer will bear a burden of Rs. 1.44 crore per month, he added.
