Woman killed in accident

Thiruvananthapuram: A woman scooterist was fatally knocked down by a private bus while she was negotiating the turning at Asan Square on Tuesday afternoon.

She was identified as Vijayalekshmi, 65, a resident of Rishimangalam. She was a former employee of Kerala University and the Vanchiyoor area secretary of the Janadhipathya Mahila Association.

The body has been kept in the mortuary of Medical College hospital.
