NEW DELHI: K. Sasikiran drew with tailender Arkadij Naiditsch in the 10th and final round of the Bosna Sarajevo 2006 Grandmaster chess tournament and finished fifth in the six-player field at Sarajevo on Tuesday. Following the 44-move draw, the second seeded Sasikiran ended up with 4.5 points. With all three last-round games ending in draws, Norway's Magnus Carlsen, Romania's Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu and Russia's Vladimir Malakhov tied for the top spot with 5.5 points each. The results: 10th and final round: Magnus Carlsen (Nor) drew with Borki Predojevic (Bih); Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu (Rom) drew with Vladimir Malakhov (Rus); K. Sasikiran (Ind) drew with Arkadij Naiditsch (Ger). Standings: 1-3. Carlsen, Nisipeanu and Malakhov (5.5 each); 4. Predojevic (5), 5. Sasikiran (4.5), 6. Naiditsch (4).
