CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at a few places over Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and Kerala. Isolated rainfall occurred over coastal Andhra pradesh, Rayalaseema and coastal Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep and dry weather prevailed over Telengana and north interior Karnataka.

Thuraiyur (Tiruchirapalli dt.) and Rasipuram (Namakkal dt) recorded a heavy rainfall of 9 and 7 centimetres respectively.

On Tuesday the maximum temperature rose largely over interior Tamil Nadu, rose appreciably at one or two places over coastal Tamil Nadu, rose at one or two places over rest coastal Tamil Nadu, fell markedly to appreciably at one or two places over coastal Andhra Pradesh fell at one or two places over rest coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed little elsewhere over the region.

Forecast (valid until Friday morning: Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over interior Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Lakshadweep and south interior Karnataka and isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over coastal Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, coastal Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh and mainly dry weather will prevail over north interior Karnataka.

Outlook for subsequent two days: No significant change.
