More officers transferred

CHENNAI: Following the major reshuffle of 36 IAS officers on Tuesday night, the State Government transferred four more officers on Wednesday.

K. Ashok Vardhan Shetty, State Commissioner for the Disabled, has been posted as Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, in place of Santha Sheela Nair, whose services have been placed at the disposal of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation Limited for appointment as its Chairperson, vice R. Balakrishnan, transferred. G. Santhanam, Additional Director of Agriculture, takes over as Director of Agriculture in place of N. Vasudevan, who has been posted as Special Secretary, Goods and Consumer Protection Department, vice S. Machendranathan. Mr. Vasudevan will function under the overall control of the Secretary to Government, Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection Department, says a press release from the Chief Secretary.
