Programme to pay tributes to Somanna

Madikeri: The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Kodagu unit, will organise a programme here on May 19 to pay tributes to the late Kotera A. Somanna, who worked for promoting Scouts and Guides activities in Kodagu, Chief Commissioner of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Kodagu, K.T. Baby Mathew said here on Wednesday.

Kotera Somanna, a social worker and Rajyotsava awardee, passed away here recently. Speaking to presspersons here, Mr. Mathew said Somanna had rendered yeoman service to the district in propagating the ideals espoused in the Scouts and Guides movement for over four decades. He was the chief patron of the district unit when he died. The programme would be organised at the Cauvery Kalakshetra here.
