LG's Golden Boot offer

KOCHI: LG Electronics has announced a new scheme called `Golden Boot' to mark the occasion of World Cup football. The scheme offers soccer souvenirs and LG products. It is being launched for the Kerala market, according to Abraham Joseph, Product Group head (Consumer Electronics), LG Electronics India Limited.

The offer entitles every customer who buys an LG colour television to get a scratch card. The card when scratched reveals a certain number of goals, depending on which the customer can win soccer merchandise such as jerseys and soccer balls. Also on offer is DVD players and cameras for lucky customers. The Golden Boot offer will be valid from May 20 to July 9.

The name of the offer draws inspiration from the Golden Boot Trophy, which is awarded to the player who scores the maximum number of goals in the series.

LG has launched a new series of television under the name Slimmagic. The advantage of the new TV is that it is 30% smaller in width and hence occupies lesser space.

LG Electronics India Private Limited (LGEIL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of LG Electronics, South Korea.
