NIZAMABAD: Outgoing district Collector D.V. Raidu has said development can be possible only when officials and non-officials work together. He has asked village-level officers to dedicate themselves to solve problems of the rural people. Replying to the felicitations on the occasion of his transfer from the district by Panchayat Raj employees and Mandal Parishad Development Officers, here on Wednesday, he urged elected representatives to work hard for the welfare of the people. He asked the MPDOs to ensure issue of ration cards and pensions to all the eligible poor. An officer could be content when he/she extended help to the oppressed and economically and socially disadvantaged sections of the society. Pointing out the response to the Dial Your Collector programme, he said it was because of the expectations and hopes of the people on the administration in solving their problems. He said he was fortunate to work in Nizamabad district as it was represented by many good political stalwarts. Zilla Parishad Chairman Ganta Sadanandam, and others attended.
