Mysore an ideal destination for education

Mysore started in 1963 is a full-fledged Arts, Science and Commerce college for women affiliated to the University of Mysore. Located at 4th k.m. on Malai Mahadeshwara Road (Bannur Road) in a beautiful campus spread over 12 acres of land, beautifully landscaped with well designed buildings, gardens, laboratories, playgrounds, and ideal hostel facilities, the college is a destination for students from all over India and abroad. The college has during the past 40 years of its existence established a reputation as a progressive institution of higher education for women.

The College offers undergraduate programmes leading to B.A., B.Sc, and B.Com. degrees of the University of Mysore. It has been granted UGC recognition under 2f and 12b in 1968 and 1971 respectively. The College has also been accredited by NAAC with a score of B++.

Teresian College, Mysore is owned and administrated by Carmelite Sisters of St.Teresa (CSST) Karnataka Province under the auspices of St.Teresa's Education Society which is registered under the Mysore Societies Registration Act, 1960 on 29th July 1969. It is a religious minority Educational Institution enjoying the relevant rights and privileges guaranteed by the Indian Constitution.

The Management belongs to a religious congregation (CSST) founded in 1887 by Mother Teresa of St.Rose of Lima at Ernakulam in Kerala, dedicated primarily to the advancement of women's education and their empowerment. The motto of the college `Virtue is the sole and only nobility' highlights the lofty mission undertaken by the management. With an established tradition for running quality educational institutions in different parts of the country, the management owns 70 schools and 6 colleges besides this college. The management and the Staff of the College takes special interest in all round development of each student. Students of all creed and caste are welcome, for the congregation believes in a healthy pluralistic society and great interest is taken in the wholesome growth of a heterogeneous community.

The College is named after St.Teresa of Avila, a mystic saint of 16th century. St.Teresa symbolises selfless dedication and devotion to the cause of the downtrodden and less privileged. She possessed qualities of both mind and heart of high order. She is declared a doctor of the church. St.Teresa is a source of motivation and inspiration for the young women of our college.

Green Valley Educational Institution, Residential School.

Green Valley Educational Institution believes in nurturing leaders for the century by providing them with knowledge, making them excellent in every field and inculcating service mindedness through Love. G.V.E.I was founded in June 2003 order to provide all round human development in transforming potentiality into reality keeping in view the chasing needs and aspirations of the modern society.

The imposing edifice is situated on a scenic 15 acres expanse of beauty and greenery which is 9 kms. From Mysore city (K.R.S Road), free from the din and bustle of city. The site is a paragon of blissful serenity and has an inspiring ambience. It is easily accessible by road / train from Mysore, Bangalore, Mandya, Hassan, Chamarajanagar and Coorg Dist. The Institution started functioning from June 2004. Its syllabus is grafted on the deep running roots of the celebrated C.B.S.E system of Education.

Each Classroom is well equipped with multimedia P.C, Video equipment and other teaching aids. Institution is well equipped with uudio-visual rooms, library, laboratory and a reading room with number of books of interest. Apart from the regular curriculum, music, dance, art and paintings, yoga and meditation is also taught. Transportation to students from centralized points in mysore is provided
