New Collector assumes office

HYDERABAD: R. V. Chandravadan on Wednesday took charge as Hyderabad district Collector and announced his intention to have Mondays as a Grievance Day to receive representations from general public.

Speaking after assuming charge, Mr. Chandravadan said he would strive for coordination among different Government wings for overall development of the city. He promised steps to ensure that benefits of various development programmes reach the needy, according to a press release.

The Revenue Department would be strengthened and made more responsive and transparent, he said. Special attention would be given to housing and to ensure good results in Government schools, Mr. Chandravadan said.
