Chennai : Maveric Systems, an independent software testing company has entered into an academic partnership with Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) for a two-year Executive MBA in Banking and Software Testing. This unique course has been designed to equip engineering graduates with cutting edge knowledge and practical experience in software testing. In order to ensure high quality input, Maveric will give scholarship to the selected students. The course commences on July 10 and upon successful completion, the students will be absorbed into the firm. The curriculum has been formulated keeping in mind the specific challenges of the software testing industry. The two-year programme is divided into a classroom-centric first year and the second year would focus on intensive project execution internship at Maveric. The emphasis would be on banking and financial services operations knowledge, testing methodologies, test automation and project management. "The software testing space is on the cusp of a huge growth spurt. In spite of this, the segment is facing a huge shortfall of skilled workforce," said Ranga Reddy, CEO, Maveric Systems. "Through this industry - academic partnership, we are committed to establish a model for bridging this demand-supply divide," he added. Maveric Systems aims to take in a batch of 60 students.
