HUBLI: Directorate of Technical Education, Bangalore, and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) have enhanced the intake of students at KLE Society's Polytechnic for the first semester from 320 to 435. Shankaranna Munavalli, Member, Board of Management of KLE Society, told presspersons here on Thursday that the enhancement in the intake would come into effect from the academic year 2006-07. College principal S.C. Kamate gave a list of various programmes organised by the college and the initiatives taken to improve the job prospects of students of the college and other polytechnic colleges in the region.
Infrastructure ready
He said such an increase in the intake of students was because of the infrastructure available and the academic performance of the institute over the years.
