Unichem pact with Pliva of the U.S.

CHENNAI: Unichem Laboratories has entered into a product development, manufacturing and supply agreement with Pliva of the U.S. a wholly owned subsidiary of Pliva Pharmaceuticals, Zagreb, Croatia. Under the terms of the agreement, Pliva will fund certain development activity of the company in return for its conferring exclusively to Pliva to market certain of its generics under joint label in the U.S. markets. Unichem informed the BSE that it has recommended a dividend of Rs. 5 on equity share of Rs. 5 each for 2005-2006.
