HANOI: Twenty-eight Vietnamese fishermen were killed and nearly 250 were missing in sea after being caught up in tropical storm Chanchu in two separate incidents, an official said on Friday. Some 122 fishermen from central Danang who were aboard six boats that sank during the storm are listed as missing, as are another 99 fishermen from the same town who were travelling in five other boats that are unaccounted for, said a border control officer in central Danang. It was unclear when the boats sank, but their last communication was around noon on Wednesday. It was unclear where or when the boats sank.
