Bus stand, market complex to be inaugurated tomorrow

Udupi: The new Service Bus Stand and market complex will be inaugurated here on May 21. MLA K. Raghupati Bhat told presspersons here on Friday that the Service Bus Stand was built at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.26 crore under the Karnataka Urban Development and Coastal Environment Management Project (KUDCEMP). The Service Bus Stand has two floors. On the ground floor, there are 11 stalls and two toilets. On the first floor, there are 15 stalls and two toilets. .

Transport Minister N. Cheluvaraya Swamy will inaugurate the bus stand. Medical Education Minister V.S. Acharya will inaugurate a market complex built under KUDCEMP, at Santhekatte.

President of Udupi City Municipal Council (CMC) Shantha Naik, CMC commissioner Chikkanna, municipal councillors Ramesh Nayak and Mahesh Thakur, KUDCEMP engineer Rajashekhar, were present.
