Facelift for Marina playground

The project is being undertaken in two phases


CHENNAI: The refurbished Marina playground displayed its new lights and railing on Friday.

A. Sivasailam, chairman Amalgamations Pvt. Ltd., whose company is involved in funding the development of the ground, switched on the lights at a function held there. The ground is part of the Presidency College.

The project is being undertaken in two phases. Principal of Presidency College, Dhanushkody, said that when he was a student of the college, all sports activities were held on the ground. With the beach on the other side, it promises to be a picturesque venue for many cricket matches to come.
