CHENNAI:
A crew comprising writer-director S. Krishnaswamy, cinematographer Madhu Ambat and producer Mohana left for Jakarta on Friday to complete filming a documentary project of Krishnaswamy Associates titled `Indian Imprints'.
The team will visit Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. The director and producer were on a study tour to these countries. With funding from Prasar Bharati for telecast on the national network of Doordarshan, the 18-episode documentary will cover ancient monuments of Indian heritage in the Far East.
Sculptures
The documentary will also showcase selections from thousands of sculptures of the Indian pantheon, as well as Sanskrit and Tamil inscriptions.
Interviews
Interviews with Asian scholars on India's relationship with the region are also to be included. The serial is slated to be ready for telecast by the end of this year.
