TOKYO: An oil tank near Tokyo exploded on Sunday afternoon, Jiji Press said. No casualty was reported in the accident. The explosion occurred at around 3:00 p.m. local time at the Mizue Factory of Japan's TOA Oil Co. Ltd in Kawazaki, Kanagawa prefecture, a dozen km south of Tokyo. The explosion blew off the roof of a room where the tank is located. Nobody was injured in the accident, local police said. Fire caused by the explosion has been put out. The cause of the accident is not known. TOA Oil is a member of the Showa Shell Group. Xinhua
