OU comes out with admission schedule

Osmania University has issued the admission and academic schedule for under graduate courses (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.Com. (Hons), B. Com. (Computers), B.Com. (Voc), BSW) for the academic year 2006-2007.

The sale of application forms for admission at the degree colleges concerned will commence on June 1. The last date for submission of application forms at the respective colleges is June 20 and classes for degree first year courses will begin on July 6. Classes for second and third year degree courses are scheduled from June 12. Details are available on the university's website, www.osmania.ac.in.

M. Phil exams

M. Phil Part I examinations in the faculties of arts, social sciences and education (including physical education) for regular candidates of the 2005-06 batch and also one-time special chance for backlog students will be held in June (Paper I on June 28 and Paper II on June 30). The last date for payment of examination fee and submission of the application form is May 24, without late fee, and May 31 with a late fee of Rs.100.

Pre-Ph.D. examinations

Pre-Ph.D. examinations in the faculties of arts, social sciences, education (including physical education), oriental languages, commerce and business management for regular candidates of the 2005-06 batch and also one-time special chance for backlog students will be held in July (Paper I on July 28 and Paper II on July 31).

The last date for payment of the exam fee and submission of application form is June 23 without late fee and June 30 with a late fee of Rs.100.

Kakatya University

Entrance tests ( KUCET 2006) for admission into various post graduate courses of Kakatya University will be held from June 1 to 12, 2006.

The tests will be conducted in two sessions from 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 2.30 p.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

The demand for chemistry has increased considerably as there are 9,067 applications (last year 6,569) for 452 seats.

There will be no entrance examination for MA Sanskrit, M.Sc. Computer Science, M.Sc. Geology and PG diploma in bioinformatics. OMR system has been introduced this year in PG entrance examinationsthis year and photo scanned hall tickets are being issued to candidates to avoid any impersonation.
