Student washed away in sea

CHENNAI: A 19-year-old college student from Coimbatore was washed away off the Marina beach on Sunday when he went for a swim.

Deepak, a second-year student of Visual Communication at Bishop Appaswamy College, Coimbatore, and seven other classmates rented two rooms in Golden Mansion at Triplicane. On Sunday morning, Deepak and four of his friends went to the beach. Four boys, including Deepak, entered the sea. Finding the currents too strong, three boys returnd to the shore but Deepak could not.
