Minor changes in portfolios of Ministers

CHENNAI:
Minor changes were made on Sunday in the portfolios of two Ministers, following the death of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Minister P.T.R. Palanivel Rajan.
The portfolio of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, till now held by the late Minister, has been given to K.R. Periakaruppan. He will, hereafter, be the Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments.
Housing Minister Suba Thangavelan has been additionally entrusted with the subjects of Slum Clearance Board, Accommodation Control and Wasteland Development, all of which were hitherto held by Mr. Periakaruppan. Mr. Thangavelan has been re-designated as Minister for Housing and Slum Clearance, says an official release issued by Raj Bhavan.
