New Delhi: Traders in the National Capital on Sunday asked the Centre and the Delhi Government to take steps to restore electricity and water connections in shops and offices which were disconnected during the MCD sealing drive. They also asked the civic body to de-seal all commercial establishments so that normal trading activities could be resumed in the wake of a Central notification putting a one year moratorium on the court-ordered sealing drive. The traders plan to meet Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Monday to press for their demands and decided to continue their agitation till all business establishments that had come up till December 31, 2005 are regularised. The CAIT at a meeting here decided to conduct a door-to-door survey to understand the difficulties faced by traders and would submit a report in this regard to the Government, a statement by CAIT said. -- PTI
