Two in ACB net

HYDERABAD: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Tuesday arrested two employees of Kamavarapu mandal revenue office in West Godavari district on the charge of receiving Rs. 2,000 bribe at their office from a complainant. Kamavarapu MRO K. Deva Raju allegedly accepted the bribe through his driver K. Venkataramma from a farmer to provide passage to the latter's mango garden through Government land. - Staff Reporter

NIZAMABAD: Telangana Rashtra Samithi has released a poster related to a cultural programme titled `Telangana Dhoom Dham' to be held at Lalitha Kalatoranam, Nampally in Hyderabad on May 28. Three die of snakebite

KURNOOL: Three children died of snakebite in two different incidents in Kurnool district on Tuesday. According to reports, Saikumar (3) and Mahalakshmi (1), who were sleeping on the floor in their house were bitten by a snake. Their mother rushed them to hospital in vain. In another incident, Sandhya (12) who was bitten by a snake at Pathakota died in hospital. - Staff Reporter

Temperatures rising

HYDERABAD: Temperatures in the State are on the rise again. Mercury shot up at a few places in coastal Andhra and one or two places in Telangana and Rayalaseema on Tuesday. Bapatla recorded the highest temperature of 43 degrees Celsius. There was isolated rain in coastal Andhra and Telangana. ANANTAPUR: A weaver of Marthadu village in Garladinne mandal R. Ramu (20) allegedly committed suicide by consuming a pesticide in his house due to the burden of debt. -- Staff Reporter
