Wages of hate

The article `The wages of hate: Islamist terror in India' (May 22) presents the chronology of the terror attacks and subsequent investigations by the agencies without analysing the causes that forced some Muslim youth to take to terrorism. The solution to the menace lies in addressing it on the social, economic, and political fronts. Muslims in Gujarat are reportedly facing a social boycott, post-2002 riots. If this continues, Gujarat could become a recruiting ground for terrorist groups.
