"Take stronger stand against Myanmar"

NEW DELHI: The Indian Parliamentarians' Forum for Democracy in Burma has demanded that New Delhi take a "stronger stand" against the military regime in Myanmar. In a statement, the Forum hoped that the Manmohan Singh Government would not shy away from helping bring about political reforms in Myanmar due to its economic interests and energy requirements.

"We are deeply concerned about the deteriorating political situation and worsening human rights situation in Burma [Myanmar]."
