Cuddalore: The Federation of Consumer Organisations— Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry (FEDCOT), appealed to Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi to equip the fire station at the SIPCOT Industrial Estate here. The first priority would be to provide the fire station with an ambulance.FEDCOT general secretary M. Nizamuddin said since many hazardous chemical units were located in the industrial estate it had been put in the "red category." He said the fire station at the estate was poorly equipped to deal with any mishap in chemical units.
