JDA Commissioner shifted

JAIPUR: The high-profile Commissioner of the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), Jagdish Chandra, was among 18 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers shifted on Thursday in the second major bureaucratic reshuffle undertaken in Rajasthan within a fortnight. Mr. Chandra was transferred as Chairman and Managing Director of the Rajasthan Small Industries Corporation.

Seven District Collectors shifted in the reshuffle included Alok (Bikaner to Kota), Gayatri A. Rathore (Banswara to Nagaur), Devashish Prashti (Baran to Sawai Madhopur) and Alok Gupta (Nagaur to Bikaner).

Kota Collector Niranjan Kumar Arya was posted as Commissioner, Employment Guarantee Scheme, Jaipur; Dausa Collector Aparna Arora was shifted as Additional Commissioner, Commercial Taxes (Anti-Evasion), Jaipur; and Bharatpur Collector Praveen Gupta was transferred as Project Director, Rajasthan Urban Infrastructure Development Project (RUIDP), Jaipur.

According to the transfer orders, the Secretary, Finance (First), D.B. Gupta, will be the new JDA Commissioner replacing Mr. Chandra. The Commissioner, Secondary Education, Bikaner, H.K. Damor, has been transferred to Dausa as Collector and the Secretary of State Election Commission, R. Venkateshwaran, goes as the Bharatpur Collector.

The new Collectors of Banswara and Baran are Vikas Sitaramji Bhale and Naveen Jain, respectively. Mr. Bhale was Director, IEC, Jaipur, and Mr. Jain was Deputy Secretary in the Personnel Department. T. Ashutosh, Chief Executive Officer, Municipal Corporation, Kota, has been sent to Jaipur to join as Deputy Secretary, Personnel Department, to replace Mr. Jain.

Neelkamal Darbari, Resident Commissioner of the Rajasthan Government in New Delhi, has been brought back to the State and posted as Secretary, Finance (First). K.N. Gupta, Commissioner, Industries Department, and Usha Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director, Spinfed, Jaipur, have interchanged their posts in the reshuffle.

Rohit Kumar Singh, Project Director, RUIDP, will be the new Commissioner and Secretary, Information Technology and Communication Department.
